FRIDAY, September 8, 2023 – Booths Open at 5:00 PM
5:30 pm: Opening Ceremonies / ‘Presentation of the Sash’ to our Grand Marshall: Dr. Jerry Lewis

6 pm: Louder Than Brad ~ is a rock band from White Salmon, Washington. Jim, Craig, Ben, and Chris cover and twist your favorites from ABBA to Radiohead, Bowie to Lorde. Their roots are in alternative rock, but they branch into punked-up folk and country classics or driving indie pop. Whether it’s a loud outdoor summer setting or an intimate acoustic set in a smaller space, audiences connect with creative takes on familiar favorites so they can really let loose.

START THE DAY with Huckleberry Pancakes for breakfast!
6:00 – 9:00 am at the White Salmon Fire Hall served by our local fire crew.
11 am: Huck Fest Parade – Check in on Jefferson, line up on Maple, begin westbound on SR 14 to Walnut and disperse at the park.
Noon: The Dancing Horses ~ in the lot South of the park, east of the Skate Park. Come watch these amazing animals and their riders perform.
12:15-1:00 pm: Ananas & Papas
1:15-2:15 pm: Willy & Nelson ~ a 4 piece local cover band that plays all the favorites from the old “Classics” to currents hits.
2:30-3:30 pm: The Whole Fam Damily ~ the trio of Jana Castañares, her husband Alonzo Garbanzo, and their daughter Siena Christie. Alonzo and Siena are guitarists, Jana plays occasional ukulele, and all three are singers of music across many styles and time periods— medieval to current! Stephen Foster to Gershwin to Lead Belly to Lil Nas X! As well, Siena and Alonzo are prolific songwriters. As sometimes happens in families, their three voices are different individually, but when they harmonize a beautiful blend happens.
3:45-4:30 pm: Eugenia Riot ~ Portland, Oregon based songwriter Leigh Jones dazzles once again with her latest folk creation: Eugenia Riot. An internationally touring musician with a background in theater, Jones delights audiences with her irresistible stage presence and enrapturing voice, which is reminiscent of Alison Krauss. She has spoken at the US Embassy in Ethiopia on Women in Music, was selected with her former band Crow and the Canyon for the American Music Abroad program, and has toured the US from coast to coast since 2010. A self-examining journey through the crescendos of love and heartache, Eugenia Riot’s debut album “Can’t Wait To Miss You” is at once gentle and fierce, playful and romantic – an engaging blend of folk, rock, and Americana.

4:30-5:30 pm: Polynesian Dancers
5:45-6:45 pm: Western Swing Western Swing and Country Music for dancing. Classic American music with swinging vocal-led tunes. Twin fiddle and steel guitar harmonies, rhythm guitar, and dog house bass, from Hood River, Oregon.
Featuring Susie Samuels, Genavie Thomas, Larry Wyatt, Ben Bonham and Ronnie Ontiveros.
7:00-8:00 pm: Richie The Reptile Man (We realize this is late, but the reptiles and Richie do not do well in the heat of the day) Richie has a large collection of friends who slither and crawl to share with us in a very interactive manner.
8:00-11:00 pm: Heart of Glass / A Blondie Tribute Band ~ We bring an authentic and energetic Blondie experience to life. From their punk rock roots to their New Wave and Pop song glamour, we provide the look and sound of Blondie in their prime.

10:00-11:00 am Sunday Church Service in the Park ~ Everyone is welcome! Non Denominational service led by Grace Baptist
12-1:00 pm: Harmony of the Gorge ~ (our local Sweet Adeline Chorus) has been singing together now for 40 years. We are delighted to once again be kicking-off the Sunday performances with our patriotic songs along with some of our new favorites. We are an acappella vocal group (usually no instruments) that enjoys singing throughout the year for special events. We meet Tuesday evenings in Down Manor in Hood River, from 6:00-8:00pm. Come sing with us … or sing a-long with us at Huckleberry Festival!
