Fun Stuff for Kids At Huckleberry Festival ~ Join us for family fun events in Daubenspeck Park!
While there will be ongoing entertainment and options like the Bouncy Houses throughout the weekend, we also have some specific events for youth.
Friday 6 – 7:30 PM – Children’s Games at Daubenspeck Park with Face Painting, plus FREE open play Cornhole
Saturday 7 – 10 AM: Chalk the Block/Tiza el Bloque Contest – Sign in at Bingen City Hall

Saturday @ 11 AM – Parade – All Are Welcome! Walk, Bike, Ride…. we want you to be a part of our Huckleberry Parade. Pretend you are a berry and wear purple head to toe!
Saturday 1ish Pie in Face – The challenge is on! Be the first to find the hidden huckleberry in the whipped cream pie, using only your mouth – no hands allowed. This fun activity is open to ages 12 and up, with registration limited to the first 50 participants.
Saturday 1 – 3:30pm Rattle Can Art Contest – $3 entry fee per person must be paid to paint
Rules:
1. Name must be submitted so a number can be assigned.
2. No inappropriate themes or elements (inappropriate obscenities in word or graphic representation)
3. No pointing spray cans at anything other than the boards
4. No painting over another’s artwork without express permission
5. Time limits will be applied
6. All art work remains the property of the Huckleberry Festival unless otherwise negotiated with Huckleberry Festival representative
7. Judging will occur after 4:00pm, prizes awarded around 5:30 pm on gazebo stage
8. All participants will be respectful to one another and to all supervisors
9. Personal paint cannot be brought to the rest of the festival activities
10. Representatives of the Huckleberry Festival have the right to disqualify anyone who breaks any of these rules
Saturday 1 – 5pm: Free BBQ and Skatepark Hangout with prizes hosted by SKA CO Skates!
Saturday 2 – 4pm (around these times) There will be games like a watermelon eating contest, hula hoop contest, gunny sack racing and the infamous egg toss, north of the playground.
Saturday 2 PM – Corn Hole Double Elimination
Saturday 2 PM – Children’s Coin Dig
Saturday 7:00PM – Jordan Reptiles – A crowd favorite! (most of the crowd, anyways) We realize this is late, but Richie and his reptiles do not do well in the heat of the day.
