RULES
Live Participation Required:
All artwork must be created on-site during the contest. No pre-made or off-site pieces will be accepted. Artists must be present for the full duration.
All Ages Welcomed:
We encourage all ages to participate and share their artistic abilities, we do ask anyone 13 and younger, to have an adult (Family Member or Daycare Provider) over the age of 18 be with you.
Time Limit:
Artists will have 90 minutes to complete their artwork. Timing will begin promptly at 5pm.
Supplies Provided:
All materials will be provided. Artists may not bring any spray paint from home. You can bring stencils and use any nature items around.
Incorporate Nature:
Artists are encouraged to utilize natural elements found in the park—sticks, leaves, rocks, etc.—as part of their design, structure, or inspiration. Be respectful of the environment (do not damage trees or disturb wildlife).
Medium:
Spray paint (rattle cans) must be the main medium used. Use of objects found on-site is allowed.
Theme:
Artists may choose any theme, but all artwork must be family-friendly. No graphic, offensive, or inappropriate imagery.
Canvas/Surface:
We will provide a huge piece of construction paper and art easel.
Set-Up & Clean-Up:
Artists are responsible for maintaining a clean workspace and properly disposing of any waste. Respect other artists and public areas.
Judging:
Artwork will be judged immediately after time is called. Judges will use the official scoring sheet (see below) to assess creativity, technique, impact, and use of natural elements.
Awards:
Three winners will be chosen:
*Best of Show
*Crowd Favorite
*Technical Excellence
Permissions:
By participating, artists agree to allow photography of themselves and their work for promotional purposes.
